• Olivia Taylor

    Olivia is an 18 year old pupil at Durban Girls' College. She is passionate about conservation, business and art. In 2008, when Olivia was 11, she became concerned about the decimation of the bearded vulture. Since then she has raised R200 000 for the species and ocean degradation through her Kilimanjaro climb and the Four Elements Ocean Challenge 2014 . "During my time working for the Bearded Vulture Project I met some amazing people that have inspired me to pursue my dream.  This is to open people's eyes to the beauty of the natural world and the importance of preserving it as well as to teach young people about the power of their voices".


  • John McCarthy

    John is the founder and publisher of and Previously he was the CEO of the Media 24 owned entity Atoll Media. He was educated at Hilton College, UCT (BA, major in Social Anthropology) and Damelin Business Management School. He has surfed professionally and represented South Africa at The Inaugural World Masters Surfing Championships in Puerto Rico, which South Africa won. He has produced and directed several documentaries and short films and continues to write for his own and other media entities. 

  • Amaresh Chetty

    Amaresh manages a private equity fund and has previously worked at BEE investment holding companies as senior investment officer and at various banks. Amaresh has a B Com, PostGrad Dip in Bus Mngmt and an MBA from the University of Natal (Durban). He thereafter completed executive education courses in Corporate Restructuring, Mergers & Acquisitions and Valuations at Harvard Business School (Boston).


  • Mark Taylor

    Mark has spent over a decade as an entrepreneur with a diverse business background, having developed the first aquarium in Turkey, Turkuazoo, which he sold to Merlin Entertainments.  He also helped list an attractions business on the London Stock Exchange, Paragon Entertainment, of which he is currently chairman.  Mark advises venture capital and private equity businesses on fund-raising, operations and strategy.  Previously he led the turnaround of a JSE-listed technology business, Intervid, as the CEO.  Before that he headed up new investment evaluations at Africa’s then biggest technology private equity investor listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, VenFin, and has over a decade’s experience in PE and VC.  Mark is an admitted attorney with a BA LLB, H Dip Mar Law and an M.Comm.
